Dress Rehearsal Notes: 12/10/14

Good Rainy Morning, PPM singers!

Very good dress rehearsal last night.   How exciting to hear the orchestra and put together the Vivaldi/Bach works with them!  Our soloists are just amazing.  And there is some beautiful singing in our two a cappella motets in that space –

For Thursday’s dress rehearsal in Dover, please review all music by making time to practice.    The German especially remains challenging, and eyes

get buried in the music 🙁   Familiarize yourselves as much as possible with the German texts in the Bach by saying them outloud.   Last movement chorale needs to radiate joy (“Let glory be sung to you, no ear has ever heard such joy like our happiness, Io, Io, eternally in dulci jubilo”)!
