Duet to celebrate the music of Mozart, Tchaikovsky and others
in a benefit concert for Journey Song singers
On June 25th at 7 p.m. mezzo-soprano Eve Kornhauser and soprano Irina Varamesova (with William Merrill on piano) will take people on a musical journey through the works of Mozart, Rossini, Dvorak, Tchaikovsky and
others. The concert will take place at the Stratham Community Church, 6 Emery Lane, Stratham, N.H. 03885
Ms. Kornhauser sings with the Tanglewood Festival Chorus and has performed with the Washington Opera and Washington Concert Opera. Irina Varamesova sings with the San Francisco Opera and LA Masterworks Chorale. They have given frequent duet recitals in the Washington, DC area. This is a wonderful opportunity to hear this special duo as Irina journeys to New Hampshire to join her voice with Eve’s in a joyful celebration of music.
For the past few years Ms. Kornhauser has been the music director of Journey Song, an all-volunteer group of a cappella singers. Journey Song provides the gift of music to people nearing the end of life and sings in nursing homes, private residences and hospitals all over the Greater Seacoast area of New Hampshire and southern Maine.
[Suggested donation is $10 with all proceeds to support the work of Journey Song, a 501 c 3 organization]
