Rehearsal Notes for Jan. 27

Singers, here is a preview of what we will be covering at our next rehearsal.

• Haydn, Missa Brevis – Review singing Kyrie and Gloria.
  • Speak Credo text (as best you can) slowly in your part; sing on Doo, if possible.
  • Mark breaths and dynamics.
• At the Round Earth – Review speaking/singing your part to top p. 6.
  • Sops/altos continue to bottom p. 7 at “grace”.
• Hark I Hear – Review to top p. 7 and practice rhythm sheet so you’re fluent!   That is, speak on Doo/Hallelujah while clapping the beat!
  • Speak/sing thru end of piece.
  • Mark all breaths, phrases, marcato etc.   Dynamics, too.
• Hold On and Let Your Light So Shine – Review speaking/singing your part and mark breaths!
• Garden Grow – speak/sing words in your part to top p. 9 (especially sopranos and basses with divisi)
