Live Free & Sing

  A Cappella Concert

Saturday, January 26, 2019 |  4-6 PM

Thank you to all who attended. It was a rousing success with a  sold out crowd at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Portmsouth.

Performing groups included:

  • The Afternotes are a multi-generational group of female University of New Hampshire (UNH) alumnae.
  • The Hilltoppers was stimulated by the musical arts program at Berwick Academy.
  • Not Too Sharp is a male a cappella group from UNH.
  • RMS 5 is from the Rock My Soul Gospel Choir.
  • The Overtones is a group from Portsmouth Pro Musica.
  • The Stairwells, had their origins in the early 1990’s at Traip Academy in Kittery, ME.

PPM vice-president John Rice, also a member of the Overtones, created Live Free and Sing to showcase the region’s a cappella talent from high school, college and adult choruses and choirs. He notes that “Each group brings something different to the table, and that’s both fun and entertaining to watch.”

It’s Thursday, January 4th and I have tried three times to order 2 senior tickets and it won’t show total on the page to pay. I want to pay with a credit card, but I tried even going through Pay Pal and the total due is still $00.00!

Hi Carolyn, I’m not sure how that error occurred. I will look into this as soon as I can.

I also could not purchase two senior tickets on the website. I loggged into Paypal but still didn’t work. We are hoping there are still tickets at the door.
